Mechateuthis is a mechanical giant squid as in the "megateuthis" squid. The moving parts are driven by 8 hand cranks. This imaginative use of steel was made possible by mechanical artist Barry Crawford and a GoFundMe campaign. This moving sculpture was part of Burning Man 2015
