Catching some winter rays!

Spiders from 'Stow A lovely Nurseryweb Spider, Pisaura misabilis.

Zip wire Midge flying under a strand of spiders web in Walthamstow wetlands, this was much harder than I thought.

I began illustrating the beetles & bugs of Britain in lockdown, having no idea of the extraordinary diversity of species living right under my nose, or how vital they. This project has been totally absorbing, fascinating & inspiring and is only just getting going! #beetle #bug

Both these spiders were in the same area or at least nearish. Not sure the first was the biggest one the second a few millimetres in size maybe one of the Araneus sp? BAS TurnFear2Fascination 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇮🇱🕷️

I was outside at 1am this morning, misting the spiderwebs like a dew fairy. If you’re hot, they’re hot. Mist your spiders.

In Reception, we have practised singing "Incy Wincy Spider" this week. It inspired us to make own spider webs in the playground. We had a great time placing spiders on the webs! #ReceptionPark #firstweek
