Congratulations to Busola Adekoya, winner of the RIA Innovative Research Award at the Symposium on Aging Research yesterday! Busola presented her work entitled Exploring the Ethical and Legal Concerns Associated with the Release of Personal Information in Community ASAP.👏

Hajr Hameed and Mohammad Shushtar are the event-co-leads for Symposium on Aging Research (SoAR). #SoAR2023
Hajr is a PhD student UWaterloo Kinesiology and Health Sciences. Her research aims to understand the complex relationship b/w gait & cognition to identify subclinical predictors of neurodegenerative diseases. Outside of research, she enjoys spending time w/ friends, reading, & taking care of her pet bunny.
Mohammad Shushtari is a PhD(c) in the Dept of Mechanical and Mechatronics Waterloo Engineering. He is developing exoskeleton controllers that can enhance the locomotion of people with neuromuscular impairments. He is also interested in Robotics, Sensor Fusion, & Reinforcement Learning.
Maira Asrar is our treasurer for Symposium on Aging Research (SoAR). She is a Faculty of Arts, Masters of Economics student at UW. Her interests include macroeconomic topics mainly focused on macroeconomic policies. She likes going for walks, cooking, & hanging out with friends & their cats.
