What better way to spend a sunny Thursday morning than cleaning up the #river and pulling #HimalayanBalsam at Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve! A huge thank you to all our volunteers that joined us, as well as the Cromwell Bottom Wildlife Group, and Robin from Calderdale Council
The Calderdale Council Council Priority NFM Action Grant Scheme is now open! Does your organisation have an NFM project in mind that could benefit from this grant? You can request an application form by emailing [email protected]. eyeoncalderdale.com/the-priority-n…
Brilliant advise on #SuDS by Mary Long-Dhonau OBE, plenty of beautiful weather this weekend to make your home or community space more flood resilient!
Our patron, Jack Wallington, & partners The Wildlife Trusts & National Trust were part of the "Restore Nature Now” march in London with 350+ other organisations. Find out how you can educate election candidates on climate change, flooding, #NFM & #SuDS 🔗👇 mailchi.mp/edddbcfb09c5/j…
news.calderdale.gov.uk/pulling-the-pl… - Calderdale has large areas of blanket bog & peatland. Since starting as #Climate & nature lead I was determined to lead from the front, ending use of peat in our growing mediums. As part of #NetZeroWeek it’s only fitting we’ve finally achieved it. 🌱
Our flood newsletter is hot off the press. Find out about natural flood management initiatives, flood alleviation work, and staying prepared for summer flash flooding. A good bit of advice here from The Flood Hub 👇🏼
A lot of enthusiasm and scope for #SuDS at Meanwood Farm (plus a great place for a workshop and great coffee and food from The Barn Meanwood 👍). Fantastic to learn from other projects including in Hull from Alexander Osborne & Living with Water
Trustees from Slow The Flow have had a brilliant afternoon with our partners! We met at Broadhead Clough with the Reserve Assistant exploring some exciting leaky dam plans. Later we met the Hardcastle Crags Site Managers discussing our 7 year collaboration into 2025.
