Twitter is now like the guy who sells cars and thinks he should be the one in the adverts.

I joined twitter to avoid Facebook when that was ruined. Threads, can't shake the stink off.

I'd also add that as a musician back in the day, I was so financially illiterate. The goal of touring and recording was just to pay the rent. Contributing to a pension was so far away from my thinking and even possible. I wish financial planning was taught more.

We also ought to be wary about the narrative of “Mickey mouse” courses. Too often that v nebulous term seems to just mean something which isn’t a science. Apropos of nothing- your periodic reminder that the arts/creative sectors are some of Britain’s biggest industries.
