Happy 4th of July from The Sloan Public Library

Don't forget to come to the library today to pick up your Summer Reading packet. This week's theme is nursery rhymes.

Five Summer Reading Packets contain a Toy Story band-aid to be used in the Humpty Dumpty Craft. If you are one of the lucky ones, bring your completed craft to the Sloan Library for a treat.

This is the library's adventurous traveling gnome Flat Gnomely. He's off exploring the community of Sloan. Children, please help us locate him by snapping a picture of him in his location and sending it to us, either through Facebook or to our email address [email protected].

The first clue to Flat Gnomely's location is that he is thirsty. The first child to send us a picture either to our email or on Facebook, get a treat.

Don't forget to come pick up reading packets today for Week 5 (of 6) of Summer Reading. This week's theme is gnomes.

We spent the afternoon weeding our collection in the Young Adult/Teen area. We have a book truck full of books seeking a new home. They are 2 for the price of 1 (.10 for soft cover or .25 for hard cover). We also have a large collection of dvd's for sale.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to play our football game at Woodbury Central on Friday. No decision on games beyond Friday has been made.

Drop off letters to Santa at the library and we will get letters to him to respond back to your child. Drop letters off at the library by December 14th. Be sure to include child's name, teacher's name & grade. If child is not in school yet, include address to send the letter to.

For those that Overdrive or Bridges E-book service...there has been a change to log in. You will now need to add a 0 before your library card number. It now requires 5 digits to log in to the system.
