Varsity baseball beat St. Mary’s in the opening round of the playoffs 4-2. Nick Davanzo pitched 6 1/3 innings, striking out 12 to earn the win. Marco Pipia recorded the save. The cougars advance to play St. Anthony’s tomorrow at 7 PM at Farmingdale State College.

On Monday, the boys golf team defeated Kellenberg for the second time this season to finish the year at six wins and four losses. Next Monday is the league championship match where SJB will send seven players. Great job boys!

SJB Boys Lacrosse won the Class A championship over St. Dominic’s 12-7. Ryan Banaciski scored 5 goals and an assist. Nick Limberg scored 3 goals. Matt Rotolo had 2 goals. Will Shaw was incredible in goal. Jack Montagano dominated at the X. The defense was outstanding.

Varsity baseball beat Kellenberg 6-5 in an elimination game. Aidan Casey earned the win striking out 6 over 4 2/3. Jacob Schmutz had the game winning 2 rbi double. Ethan Schmutz made a diving catch to end the game. They will play St. Dominic’s on Tuesday. Great team win!

The SJB Boys Lacrosse won the State Championship 14-2 over Monsignor Farrell. It was incredible team effort. The team was led off the field by team captain, Ryan Krudis. An amazing performance by the entire team and incredible season.
