#USCAP2020 special. 😆🔬 Not so much of “alveolar” architecture in this particular case, but it’s okey - it’s still alveolar soft part sarcoma. Another great example that tumors don’t read a book. Look forward to meeting with you all in LA! #BSTPath #Pathology #LosAngeles

This pyloric gland adenoma (PGA) with high grade dysplasia filled the gallbladder in the absence of flat dysplasia. The WHO has a complicated name (intracholecystic papillary neoplasm, gastric type), reserving PGA for the blandest examples Note the squamous morule. #UMiamiPath

@AkgulMD @siti_richardson I have seen examples of cases where there is sheet like growth, but I think it’s more rare. Not sure if these sheet like ones have age, site etc predilection. Here’s a related article: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15500657/

what I’ve learned from mentoring: I’ve found that if I tell people who are unsure of themselves that it is okay to feel unsure of themselves, they start to sound much more confident! acceptance of negativity can be even more effective than just pushing positivity.

Here's a good practice tip for pathologists. If you encounter a thyroid carcinoma in a young person that you think at low power must be PTC, but at high power the nuclear features aren't quite right (but also not quite wrong) for this diagnosis, there are a couple of staining I

Oesophageal biopsy for ‘candidiasis’—but under the scope, surprise! Heterotopic sebaceous glands. Rare, but a great reminder to always keep an open mind. Anyone else spotted these? #GIPath #PathTwitter

Such a pleasure reconnecting with fellow UKM alumnus and dear friend, Dr Siti Khadijah, Chemical Pathologist, during a national workshop on standardising LIS data. Great collaboration with BKD and PIK to enhance our national pathology services. Well done, everyone!
