When you buy a gun, you’re shown pictures of gunshot victims. If your neighbor suspects you of buying a gun, they can call a hotline. If you’re from a state where guns are illegal, you can be arrested if you buy a gun out of state. Oh sorry, these are all abortion laws.

If this significant #housing project in #Kamloops doesn't include a childcare center for the families that live there, it shouldn't receive any subsidy, grant, deferral, or reduced taxes. Build smart. Build for kids. Build for families. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. #bcpoli

This is a good lesson for all our political leaders. Words matter. Kids have access to what you say, tweet, write, broadcast, share, and create. What you say is repeated. By reporters, by parents, by the guy in the grocery store line. Kids are listening. #bcpoli

The new school year marks the second year of universal school meals in Minnesota.   The data is clear: more students are eating breakfast and lunch at school, ensuring they have the food they need to learn and helping families lower the cost of groceries.

Our schools need to be safe and kind and welcoming for all our families. This applies to our classrooms and our lessons, but also to our school community and events. #BCEd needs leaders that are committed to standing up to racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, and more. #bcpoli

When I was in my early 20's I bought myself a diamond necklace to celebrate being a vegetarian for a year despite no one else in my household following that diet. I think it was $1000. It was the most expensive thing I had ever bought. I still have it thirty years later.

The burden we place on children in schools, to advocate for themselves, to identify their disability or needs, to accept charity publicly and gratefully, is disgusting.
