In a new paper in Nature Communications we explain how plant genetic engineering can help to sustainably address hidden hunger. Biofortification through metabolic engineering can combine multiple nutritional and agronomic traits in the same crops. nature.com/articles/s4146…
Farmers should not have to make difficult choices between crops that either improve nutrition or allow productive and stable harvests. They need both aspects combined, which will also support widespread adoption. Nature Communications rdcu.be/b8yvp
