Are there documented reasons for why ETH 2 phase 0 and phase 1 aren't just phases of a testnet? I don't see why real ETH should be locked up & placed at slashing risk for phase 0 and 1, when they aren't securing anything?

josh lee They just have minimum fees set higher than others (or higher than people are willing to pay). Ironically it actually makes them more resistant to spam attacks than a validator accepting zero fee txs. What a ridiculous notion that this makes them egocentric...
