Looking through old photos and maps to recreate the landscape of Haddington in the 16th Century. Using a mixture of older etchings, descriptions and maps, we hope to be able to create a truer picture of Haddington during the siege than has ever existed before! #History #Siege

In 1549, whilst Haddington was under siege, Somerset also had to face Kett’s Rebellion in Norwich. The rebellion may have forced Somerset to retreat from his position in Scotland. By connecting events in History we can get a better picture of the time! #scotlanddigs2021 #History
