We are monitoring Hurricane Milton and working closely with Seminole County, FL Emergency Management to determine potential impacts to our area and evaluate community shelter needs. We will provide an update on modified schedules and/or closures tomorrow after our morning briefing.

SPECIAL NEEDS SHELTERS: As we prepare for Hurricane Milton, Seminole County residents are encouraged to register loved ones and neighbors with special needs for the Special Needs Emergency Shelter Program. Registering now ensures first responders have a record of important needs.

Message 1: All SCPS schools will follow a regular early dismissal schedule on Tues. 10/8 and all field trips, afterschool activities, events, facility rentals, and childcare services including KidZone & Beyond and 21st Century Learning programs will be canceled.

Message 2: All SCPS schools will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, October 9-10th. We will make a determination about whether we can have school on Friday once we are able to assess the community’s need for shelters and any potential damage to our campuses.
