Another day out ruined by Avanti West Coast. Off to Glasgow for the football today. Except I’m not. Train being terminated at Preston. No idea what I’ll do next. Quality as ever from this useless company. No communication, no email to tell me, nothing.

Oh, the sweaty top lip of #RishiSunak while being grilled by Laura Kuenssberg. He has not answered a single question, she let him off the hook on HS2 sadly, and the stating of “facts” is so annoying. Laura points out his stats are disputed and he just rolls on. Horrible.

On Avanti West Coast train home and it’s so cold it is untrue. Why is the aircon blasting out when it is November next week?! People are sitting in puffer jackets zipped up and hoods up. I’m hard though, just a jumper and middle aged man gillet for me!

It’s been a while since I’ve had a mosn at Avanti West Coast but here we go. Train running half an hour late - no announcement, no apology, no explanation. I assume we just treat this as normal service and that every journey will be delayed. #tenmoreyears!

Brilliant holiday including 6 flights in Kenya. Every one was a joy, every bag delivered in minutes of landing. Come home to Manchester Airport and it takes over an hour to deliver half your bags with the other one who knows where. And dear goodness, don’t tell the customer!!

Hey Manchester Airport if you need any help, here you go. It’s at Heathrow! I would have checked in the airport but there’s no reception of course. Another feature of your “world class” airport.


Does anyone know what’s going on with ticket prices at Avanti West Coast? As far in advance as is possible and the cheapest tickets are still the best part of £200?! Have advance lower prices gone?!


Why are advance ticket prices not being shown in the Avanti West Coast app again?! It’s so pathetic. Advice - use a competitor site!!!

Does nobody at Avanti West Coast care that customers can’t book tickets on the app or the website? The app hasn’t had advance fares “pulling through” for the best part of 6 weeks now. And the website now doesn’t allow booking and just errors. Awful service.
