Every time I watch Jeremy Clarkson Farm, I get infuriated by the red tape he gets from the Council, and yet Councils don't give a sh** if businesses are inaccessible and therefore blatantly discriminating against disabled people.

I think Network Rail needs to get a lot better at predicting scale of disruption & communicating. Had I known I'd have gone straight to Paddington from office & saved them £180 in taxi (shared with a lovely woman who saw how stressed I was). Waterloo to Paddington difficult in ♿️

In what world is this hotel room accessible? Also, the swimming pool and spa area was downstairs with no alternative route down for wheelchair users, meaning we have to pay for a luxury that we can’t even access! Best Western Hotels & Resorts Best Western Hotels & Resorts Central Europe

Such a shame there are so many empty seats on count 1. Organisers and International Federations really need to step up with promoting para sport. More spectators means more equal opportunities for prize money, sponsorship, etc. for the athletes Paralympic Games

Yesterday I received one of the highest and most ancient honors in London, the Freedom of the City. But the celebration soured into an experience of indignity when upon arriving, I found that there was no ramp for me to access the stage. 🧵

As disabled people, we’re forced to make calculated decisions during emotionally intense situations of discrimination in desperate attempts to assert our rights in the “correct” way, remaining palatable, polite, &pressured to always take the high road or be labelled unreasonable.

WHAT?! This is so ableist! When plastic straws disappeared from the supermarkets it was so ironic that the alternative straws were right next to PLASTIC cutlery! The disability community need plastic straws to drink. They are the only good option for people like me. Amazon.co.uk

Why is our postbox gold? 🥇 It was painted in honour of the achievements of alumna Sophie Christiansen CBE CBE (Mathematics MSc, 2011) who became the first British triple gold medalist at the London Paralympic Games. We're wishing all of ParalympicsGB the best of luck in Paris.

I wonder if UK Sport considers costs involved in each sport or for each disability. For example, they fund guides and pilots for blind athletes, but do they help pay for competition wheelchairs? Read my thoughts here: instagram.com/p/C_kzVWIobsh/…

Such a powerful documentary from ParalympicsGB and Hannah Cockroft OBE PLY DL! Check out "Equal Play" on Channel 4 streaming. I was lucky to go to an amazing school that included me in everything, and look where I am now! Charters School #EqualPlay
