Calling all meteorologists. I’d like any and all feedback on this thread I feel compelled to make on whether the deadly flooding in TX was adequately predicted. My assessment is no. Heavy rain was possible, but nothing like what happened. I’ll begin with the WPC ex rain outlook

The catastrophic Texas floods were not caused by cloud seeding, HAARP, or any other secret, nefarious organization. It was a combination of abundant tropical moisture, an area notorious for flash flooding and the worst possible overnight timing. We need better warning systems.

I think my favorite part of living in Austin is the fact that we have at least 75 restaurants and coffee shops that have playgrounds for kids. I have yet to visit another city in the US that’s like this
