Built in 1857, the E.V. Haughwout Building is a five-story, 79-foot tall commercial building in Manhattan, New York City. The building installed the world's first successful passenger elevator on March 23, 1857. It cost $300, and had a speed of 0.67 feet per second (0.20 m/s)!

The MB108 is the largest machine in the Alberto Sassi range. It comes with a maximum static capacity of 15000kg and is most commonly used for a duty load in excess of 30 persons @ a 1:1 roping arrangement. #Lifts #Engineering #Elevators #Projects #Construction #AlbertoSassi

We had a great productive meeting today with Matteo Lomonaco and Gianluca Ferrari from Alberto Sassi S.p.A. It’s always great to catch up with future developments within our group. Safe flight back to Bologna.

Another survey today. It’s a shame to replace a Alberto Sassi S.p.A. MF82 from 2007 but due to the extensive modernisation of the whole building at Reubens College in Oxford it meant that a new machine as well as controller and other components need to be changed.
