This is thoughtful. I'm particularly interested in plans for a new UK-wide National Wealth Fund which sounds a bit like the Scottish National Investment Bank and Scottish Enterprise combined. How'll that get on with existing bodies? x.com/UofGVC/status/…

As the Scottish Government prepares to outline its programme for government, we've published a new paper that argues that Ministers in Edinburgh should make a strengthened National Performance Framework the lynchpin of its public service reform programme: carnegieuktrust.org.uk/publications/h…

We’re disappointed that @ScotGov has not included the Wellbeing and Sustainable Development Bill in the 2024 Programme for Government. We believe this legislation is essential and could have given decision-makers the tools required to tackle the complex problems Scotland faces.

As I listen to this debate about planning for the future and long-term structural change, I note that the SG's Programme for Government doesn't mention the national performance framework once: x.com/ScotParl/statu…

Pleased to see Sarah Boyack MSP today commend our new report which warns that Scotland is falling behind in integrating wellbeing thinking into public policy. Read the report by Dr Max French here: carnegieuktrust.org.uk/publications/h…

Remarkable that CBI new rates paper makes arguments similar to submissions to Barclay review: cbi.org.uk/media-centre/a… council tax debate would benefit from people making these sorts of practical suggestions (e.g. more frequent revals, tax cuts for green investment)
