The first Sunday in July - a roundel from Lincoln cathedral, dating to the 1400s. A father and son harvesting crops - the son does not look happy about it! #StainedGlassSunday and #sundayyellow.

The Jerusalem cross appears on this silver coin of the Kingdom of Cyprus that was minted sometime between 1324 & 1359 during the reign of King Hugh IV, nephew of the last king of Jerusalem. The kings of Cyprus continued to claim the Kingdom of Jerusalem after it fell in 1291.

The remains of the medieval church of Newton North in Pembrokeshire. Despite C12th charter references, the church’s dedication is unknown. The remains are now located in a holiday park. #MedievalMonday #Medieval #Pembrokeshire

A beautiful wooden carving inside Bourne Abbey Church (St Peter & St Paul). I’ve been unable to uncover any information but suspect it’s a fragment of a lost C15 screen #WoodOnWednesday #WoodenWednesday #WoodensDay #ChurchCrawling #Lincolnshire #LincsConnect #MedievalTwitter

Doorway to St Nicholas of Myra, Ozleworth, Gloucestershire. The skies around this little church in its ancient circular churchyard were full of house martins and swifts on a hot July day. ⁦Churches Conservation Trust⁩ #AdoorableThursday

For #Caturday, here's the very proud #tinylion on King Athelstan's empty tomb in Malmesbury Abbey, #Wiltshire. The king was buried in Malmesbury in 939, but his grave lost. This tomb dates from the late C14th, pos to promote Athelstan as a saint for pilgrimage - didn't happen.

Handholding tomb of Ralph Green d.1417 and his wife Katherine. Made of alabaster in 1419 in Chellaston, Derbys at a cost of £40. Somewhat bashed about and I think that her hand has been remodelled. A beautiful piece. Lowick St Peter, Northants.
