He listened, patiently—rubbing his arm idly as Felix spoke. Ah, the pills. The smile she’d barely held on to faltered slightly. “Y… Yeah, of course. They work a little too well I think,” she replied, offering up a meek expression.

“Everything’s going fine.” His voice is solid, unmoving in tone—bored, almost, though only because of her own exhaustion that hid be near her skin. “Why aren’t you sleeping well?” A slight head tilt.

“Really? That’s kind of cool.” Not that she believes him. How could he with the way Felix was acting? Something was clearly wrong, but did Sophie have the nuance to figure out what exactly was bothering him? Maybe not. Maybe it wasn’t her business. “…I guess.”
