I’m seeing a growing number of students complain: “My grade doesn’t reflect the effort I put into the course.” Public service announcement: You don’t get an A for effort. You earn it for excellence. Success is measured by the level of mastery you show, not how hard you work.

Quick reminder that while we celebrate Canada's men's program our women's program has been to eight FIFA World Cups and won Olympic gold and have set the international soccer tone in this country for quite some time.

Long rant coming in . . . 1 . . . 2 . . . 3. . . Here's the truth. . . u can't legislate integrity. Our issues in high school athletics are a by-product of larger issues in our society. We have a wholesale lack of integrity in our general population of our citizens. (cont'd)

Admin, when you drop in the class for a visit, maybe check to see if the teacher needs anything, like running to restroom, or bring them a water/ coffee. The little things are the big things in the daily grind!

Just because some teachers would rather stay in the classroom than go into administration doesn’t mean they aren’t leaders. In fact as a leader, seek their input and feedback if you want to build a highly effective school culture.
