Tech can also be used to connect students/classrooms from around the globe as an alternative to traditional pen pals #ELTchat

edpuzzle.com is a tool that I just recently learned about. You can add questions to videos to check their understanding as they watch. #ELTchat

That was my first #ELTchat. Really enjoyed it and hope to start joining them regularly.

All kids, especially those who have experienced trauma, need to feel like the classroom is a safe space. Taking time to really show them that can make a big difference. You can’t take away their trauma or fix their home life but you can make the classroom a safe space. edutopia

Better support systems need to be put in place and more awareness and training need to be made part of teacher training programmes. Some schools do a great job with mentoring schemes for new teachers, but that needs to be norm and not the exception. #MentalHealthMatters
