On Sunday afternoon 17th December , a fantastic band will be playing on the green at the junction of Parsonage Road with Heaton Road. Band will play from 4:30 to about 5:30 . Santa and his sleigh will also be in attendance.

Santas at Tesco Burnage tomorrow from 14:00

Tomorrow , Saturday 16th , Santa and his Sleigh will be at Moortop , Heaton Moor . He will be close to the CooP and the Blue Corn Cafe. All collections go to charity and contactless card payment is available.

Tomorrow our supermarket collection will be at Tesco East Didsbury but starting at 16:30 Santa will be attending the fantastic band concert on the triangle at the junctions of Parsonage and Heaton Roads . The weather looks set to be fine so please come out and support the band .

On Monday 18th Santa is at Morrisons Cheadle Heath

Tomorrow Santa is at Tesco Portwood from 14:00 and is looking forward to wishing you a Merry Christmas.

Tomorrow , Friday 22nd , Santa makes his last appearance at Morrisons Reddish . He will arrive at 14:00.

On Saturday 23rd Santa makes his last appearance at Tesco Burnage before flying in his sleigh to Lapland ready for the big day ! He will be at Tesco from 10:00 to 18:00 and is looking forward to saying Merry Christmas to kids young and old .

The Lamplighters helped fund this Christmas Meal organised by Clare Cliff for folk who otherwise might have been on their own on Christmas Day.

We have made four more microloans to entrepreneurs in developing countries with Lendwithcare. Pakistan , Cambodia , Thailand and Malawi.

This day in 1905 Rotary was founded by Paul Harris an attorney in Chicago . There are now 1.4 million Rotarians worldwide

Seven new loans with lendwithcare , including one to these ladies in Zambia who are setting up a community grocery store.

At last nights meeting we presented a cheque to help raise funds for the Alex Hulme Foundation which funds research into the treatment of non hodgkins lymphoma.

One of the charities we regularly support is the Samaritans .

On Saturday 6th July several of our members helped out at the Wilmslow Beer Festival organised by the round Table

Tony is a hard working volunteer in the local community and a member of our club . He is being presented with last years attendance award by Roxanne .

Barbara is our speaker finder and over the past year has arranged some very interesting speakers for our Wednesday night meetings . She is being presented with the Lamplighter of the year award by President Bernadette.
