More and more common to see Nebraska high schools holding press events to announce coach hiring. Wouldn’t it be great if we cared that much about classroom hires? Upside down priorities.

Teachers who receive regular recognition & appreciation are: * More productive * More engaged in school * More likely to stay with school * More likely to receive higher satisfaction scores from students & parents. Yes, Appreciation matters!

Reminder…. The normal people outnumber the weird extreme people. They may be louder, but they are fewer; don’t let them control the narrative.

Talented people (Ted Carter, Ronnie Green, Trev Alberts) leave a team when the leadership above them loses sight of the team's purpose. The team is the University. When the leadership cuts funding, and undermines the team's purpose with political dogma they leave.

To any ed leaders of any kind out there: Teachers, kids, communities & public colleges need you to band together and take the anti public schools loud mouths on as a unified voice! You could change the narrative. There are more normal people than them! #ILovePublicSchools

Teachers shouldn’t have to devote more and more of their personal life to their profession to be considered highly effective. It’s unrealistic expectations like this that lead to burn out and teacher shortage

For the life of me I do not understand the select/club sports mindset. Why are we paying thousands of dollars to join clubs so kids can play on the bronze team, to travel to Topeka, to play another bronze team, to go 1-3, stay in a hotel, eat crappy food, while mom and dad
