From valedictorian 🎓 to advocate for teens. Amanda completed her bachelor’s at Cal State Long Beach and her master’s in Counseling Psychology from UMass Global, where she was honored as valedictorian and commencement speaker.

Last week, our Life Skills students kicked off 2026 surrounded by magazines, scissors, and big dreams. ✂️✨ Each student created a vision board filled with images that represent what they want this year and beyond to look like.

Character isn’t a buzzword for our students, it’s a skill they’re building. 💛 Today’s Life Skills session with the Travis Manion Foundation’s Character Does Matter program helped students name their strengths and see how character shapes their future.

One of our Robyne’s Nest students just bought her first car after months of saving and careful planning. With support from our Student Care Team and volunteers Bret Berg and Ken Deagle, she found a safe, reliable used car and built a plan for insurance, maintenance, and repairs.

New drivers in our program are learning what to do in an accident, traffic stop, or breakdown, and how to budget for car ownership, too. Thanks to volunteer instructor Ken Deagle, our students are gaining real-world skills and real confidence.

Valentine’s Day felt extra special for our students this year. Girl Scout Troop 1292 created care bags filled with treats and handwritten cards, reminding students they are seen and supported. Huge thanks to Jennifer and Troop 1292 for helping us. #RobynesNest #GirlScouts
