The FA coaching guide, even at the most basic grassroots level prioritises goalscoring, enjoyment and individual expression, all things our national head coach seems to be able to ignore

Two minutes on the front foot, hauled our way back into it, then stepped off to play for extra time. Credit to Spain, moved the ball beautiful and magnificent in the press. Timid Lions leave empty handed

So, as the profile update suggests, a new chapter opens on September 2. First placement school confirmed this week. Excited for Primary life

Of course, by P-coding services NORTHERN 🚆 assist is still doing what it’s been told not to do by Government and dodging delay repay. Expect better of a nationalised operator. Hope Louise Haigh can get a grip.

Fed up with hearing about xG. Football can’t be distilled down to stats and numbers. It’s more that that, beautiful, brutal and reassuringly unpredictable. You can keep your spreadsheets and fantasy XI, the only stat that matters is the score after a hard fought 90

First time I’ve seen Fleetwood Town this season. Lots of percentage ball, lacking strength in central midfield. Very average League Two side

When I think of the first side Micky put out in The Football League, Steve McNulty, Junior Brown, Andy Mangan, Nathan Pond…This lot are miles away from that quality

Scott Parker has to take huge credit for what he's delivered at Burnley, walking in to a firesale, a dressing room packed with talented individuals who believed in themselves not the club. To create such a focused, tight nit group and deliver Premier League football. Great job.

What an incredible end to a season. The lead in the #eflchampionship changed hands four times over the last 90 minutes of the season (and one minute of added time). Promotion in the 96th minute for Grezza at Bradford. That's entertainment!

#Burnley have amassed 201 points in 92 games in England's second tier, losing just five times. They will still likely be relegated from the #premierleague next season. How do we start to close the financial gulf?

Antoni Sarcevic bagged The Bantams 96th minute winner today. He also scored the Wembley winner for Fleetwood Town to seal promotion under Graham Alexander in 2014. History has a way of repeating itself
