Was thinking about Gordon Cooper’s MA9 flight anniversary this week. 61 years gone by. These two mementos are treasured reminders and tangible touch-points for me of that flight.

Had a grand time last night at an advance screening for Fly Me To The Moon — what a fun film! What Frosted should have been, but wasn’t. Crowd was into it. And so was I. Thumbs up. Will talk more about it (and all things Marketing the Moon) with Alan Boyle 👽 on his podcast Fiction Science Club .

After the movie, check out the real history that inspired it in "Marketing the Moon," the story of one of the most successful marketing and PR campaigns in history - the selling of the Apollo program: mitpress.mit.edu/9780262026963/… #FlyMeToTheMoon

This was one of the first NASA Webb Telescope images released #OTD in 2022, and undoubtedly it's one of the most mind-blowing! Over 25,000 galaxies and stellar clusters can be seen from this deep field image of just a tiny sliver of our universe. About this image: go.nasa.gov/4eSXTc2

One of my favorite photos I’ve ever captured: this is the ISS transiting Tycho crater on the moon. This got me nominated for an award and made it into space! I formatted this as a mobile wallpaper for you to save and enjoy. I’ll be posting these daily for a while so stay tuned!
