Much like humans, CPUs heal in their sleep. CPUs are *technically* replaceable / wear items. They don’t last forever. Yet, the moment stress is removed, transistor degradation (partially) reverses. It's called Bias Temperature Instability (BTI) recovery:

Every Tesla we built has the ability to drive autonomously and we use this feature 100% for outbound operations, starting from the light tunnel until the car arrives at the outbound yard! Really impressive! Cannot wait to see this on European roads outside the factory!

The same Tesla in the 🇺🇸, 🇨🇦, 🇲🇽, 🇨🇳, 🇦🇺, and NZ🇳🇿 may have not had this accident, because those regions allow FSD Supervised, making driving about 10x safer (source: Tesla's quarterly report) The reason we don't get the 10x safety is UNECE Jean Todt UN Road Safety
