As if irony isn’t already dead, the Hatch Act violation on the DOJ website, which blames Democrats for the shutdown, appears on the page advising DOJ employees they are subject to the Hatch Act. joycevance.substack.com/p/a-note-about…

Get used to lots of increased fees in LA. Underwhelming business tax receipts from the drop in tourism is going create new budget deficits. Oh, and we’re spending billions on upgrading the convention center (that we can’t afford).

HOLY SH**! California just banned algorithmic price fixing statewide! The home of Silicon Valley just took a decisive step to thwart the accelarated use of tech to rip off consumers. This description hardly scrapes the surface. Much more to say - but for now, WOW, I am stunned!

Everyone should read this including the primary documents. Why are we as taxpayers paying out $2 million because the voters changed something. But this in particular took me out. Condifential.

A former Trump-appointed prosecutor who secured major public corruption convictions says the Supreme Court is now making it nearly impossible to prosecute bribery.

How is this not a bigger scandal? LA County is paying a $2 million settlement to its highest-ranking non-elected employee because she is claiming “emotional distress” from a ballot measure that eliminates her position. Does nobody have shame any longer?

There’s been exactly zero consequences by the council for the repeated behavior again journalists. So why wouldn’t LAPD do this? There’s no accountability. Your words would mean more if they weren’t so hollow.

Funny cause that’s the approach your boss tried to take in killing an injunction re: LAPD use of force vs. journalists in advance of this protest.
