The @BedsHCAcademy team and Elidah visited Barnfield College during National Careers Week 2023. The goal was to provide students with information about roles in the NHS, T Levels and Apprenticeships and Skills, supporting them make their important career decisions for the future. ☺️

To wrap up National Careers Week, the @BedsHCAcademy team had a brilliant time visiting students attending Challney Boys | Luton and Marston Vale Middle School | Bedford. It was lovely to see how engaged and enthralled they were by the variety of career paths offered in the #NHS

Students on the @BedsHCAcademy Plus Programme enjoyed practical sessions on vital signs, Basic Life Support and first aid, with lots of fun and laughter thrown in the mix for good measure with our CPR playlists, first aid olympics and so much more! 🩹🌡️

Last week Remya Das Theerukandiyil and Elidah had a great time attending @thebedfordsixth for a careers fair on behalf of the Trust. There was brilliant student engagement and an opportunity to work collabortively with staff from Primary Care to promote careers in the #NHS 🤝

The @BedsHCAcademy team are busy plotting and planning the next Health and Care Academy + Programme which will be taking place this Saturday! We will be welcoming 15 enthusiastic students onto our Luton and Dunstable University Hospital site for an interactive insight into careers in the #NHS!

The @BedsHCAcademy held the first + programme Luton and Dunstable University Hospital last Saturday. Students took part in a variety of activites, explored the NHS values and the importance of communication. While having the opportunity to design and pitch their own ideas for a new hospital to a panel 🏥

@BedsHCAcademy would like to give a warm welcome to Tom, who has joined our team as a Practice Educator. Tom joined Luton and Dunstable University Hospital in 2020 as a Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department bringing 4 years of nursing experience with him. We look forward to working with Tom 👨‍⚕️

Another successful session on the @BedsHCAcademy plus programme last Saturday which consisted of an interactive session on bedside care and the chance to become mini GPs! The afternoon was followed up by a presentation from Young Healthwatch and an insight into Mental Health 🤓
