No self styled socialist should be supporting sexual exploitation of anyone - in particular women + girls. Risks of sexual assault + murder make prostitution dangerous. Driving factor behind entry into prostitution = poverty. We must remove poverty + support women to exit.

Murdered a woman, not a "sex worker." Sexual assault and often murder is closely linked to sexual exploitation of women.

This issue became an issue because of attempts to enforce self id which would effectively abolish female spaces. It's infuriating to see debates whittle down to terminology as opposed to considering women's safety from male violence. Disappointing takes from all sides.

Very sad to hear that Alice Mahon, former MP for Halifax, has passed away. An utterly brilliant working-class campaigner, Alice was one of one of my best comrades in Parliament. I will miss her terribly. My thoughts go to her family & the people of Halifax she served so well.

Defending a bill that is unpopular with the public is not good form. Neither is trampling over women's voices when they have expressed strong concerns about the implications of this bill. GRR doesn't advance trans rights but it does roll back women's rights.

3000 Palestinians slaughtered by Israel contradicts this. As does the ICJ which ruled with South Africa in that a plausible case for Israel committing genocide was made. Not to mention the Palestinian female hostages reporting rape by Israeli personnel.
