As you can imagine, I have my own ideas about our injustice system, but I was initially excited. Then came such wild inefficiencies and ridiculousness, that I have been forced to request assistance from the interwebs. 2/

For those that haven't had the privilege, we are in a tiny room for HOURS for weeks on end twiddling our thumbs until the ADA comes. We then listen to evidence and determine whether there is enough evidence to justify the charges brought and that it should/not go to trial. 3/

How do we know there's enough evidence to make a determination you ask? They read from the penal law for each offense aloud, and then we vote. Seems like a relatively straightforward process I guess, except... 4/

But also, I have a lot of trouble with my auditory processing. Partially ADHD and partially the result of a few concussions while playing rugby. I can't hear music lyrics, I often miss what people are saying. But you write it out or I read the lyrics, I'm good! 5/

So, I ask if I can have a copy of the penal laws pertaining to the cases. I want to do my best, and that means that I need written information. I've read the juror handbook 5 times. What do you think they said? 5 guesses...6/

You only need 1? Yeah, NO. Because they don't want use interpreting the laws...that we are asked to apply to some serious felonious activity. I don't have the brain space now, but this feels like #ADA territory.
