There’s this thing about a girl who loves Jesus.
She is willing to hear others but she listens to Jesus. He helps her turn her pain into compassion. She accepts her grief and lets it teach her what matters and what does not. And she refuses to lose her sense of wonder.
In a world that promotes tearing others down to build ourselves up, we can make a difference by using our words to bless and encourage.
And simply giving kind words is one of the greatest ways to make the love of Jesus known to those who so desperately need it.
Just because someone lays something down doesn’t mean we have to pick it up. Responding to something mean with more meanness will only lead to conflict escalation, not resolution.
We don’t have to fall into the trap of saying ugly things back. We don’t have to betray who we are
Our trust can’t be tied to whether or not a circumstance or another person changes. Our trust must be tied to the unchanging promises of God. We hope for the good we know God will ultimately bring from our situation, whether the good matches our desires or not. And sometimes that
We all have weak places.
My weak places frustrate me. Sometimes I get so tired of trying, and I just feel weak.
Can you relate? Maybe your weakness is a money situation that seems impossible, a marriage issue that frustrates you to your core or an insecurity that stings.
If I could go back and tell my younger self anything… I’d tell her to look for the beauty in life, pray about whatever you’re facing, and don’t forget to read your Bible.
Sometimes we’re making our way through an ordinary day & realize God has answered a specific prayer. Maybe it occurred quietly & subtly. Maybe we didn’t realize it because it doesn’t look like we expected. But then there it is.
Noticing the presence of God takes my breath away.
To the girl with a weary heart who feels so very alone in your struggle, the one that seems like it will never end…
Let me be the friend who comes alongside you to say: you are seen. You are loved. You are prayed for. Jesus is with you, and so am I. We can do this. So, let's
We cannot look to a broken world for reassurance. Broken mirrors will always give a distorted reflection. Only God's eyes of love tell the real truth.
And He says you're beautiful. Out of the millions of cell combinations that could have been, God handpicked you to be you!
Watch for moments today when anger, envy or something negative tries to slip in. Recognize it. Refute it. And choose to replace it with God’s spirit of love.
What name has Satan tried to label you with? Unwanted? Unlovely? Unneeded?
Satan is a liar & a thief.
God is the One & only One who has the right to define you. And He says you are chosen. He says you are cherished. He says you are His child, holy & dearly loved.
God will accomplish good even when life doesn’t feel good or look good.
Even if we can’t see it, let’s choose to believe it.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 (NIV)
