Writing theological texts for teens has an additional challenge. You don’t want to be too technical, but you also don’t want to underestimate or infantilize them. Balance is always hard.

When you study a doctrine, don’t start with the hardest verse. Begin with the simple, clear passages first. Build your foundation there, then bring the difficult texts into harmony with what you already know is plain truth. That way you let the Bible explain itself, line upon
