Thank AMETD for inviting me to showcase our work on novel head+neck pain interventions at the IASP AMETD Congress! With the help from VA Palo Alto HCS Stanford Anesthesiology, we plan to bring these treatments to the Veterans at our newly established TBI Headache Center this fall.

Terrific showing of anesthesiologist-scientists at the MD/PhD Conference MD/PhD National Student Conference. It’s an honor to represent and recruit for our Stanford Anesthesiology residency/FARM track. Huge shoutout to FAER for sponsoring poster sessions for MSTP students to showcase their research! 🙌

Honored to be selected by the VA CDA2 and continue my work at VA Palo Alto HCS/Stanford Anesthesiology! I’m thankful for the continued support from FAER. Most importantly, it wouldn’t have been possible without my mentors and colleagues! Look forward to the next chapter 😃.

An informative piece of trigeminal neuralgia, a devastating orofacial pain syndrome. 🧵 Also a shoutout to the specialists in our facial pain program Stanford Pain Medicine! DrMeredithBarad, Xiang Qian, Anuj Aggarwal, Q Chen, MD, PhD, Michele Jehenson, and Tracey Mallick.

I am proud to share this new review on The Biology of Addiction that appeared today in Science Signaling. It was fun to write the review all by myself and reflect on the tremendous progress achieved over the past three decades...

Check out our new paper - cover story on Nature Neuroscience - outlining a potential new target for pain treatment and which may explain the susceptibility of older adults to chronic pain

Our team is using a common anesthetic to induce altered states of consciousness which may help treat PTSD. Max Feinstein Mount Sinai Anesthesiology made a great YouTube vid that explains the links between anesthesia, psychedelics and PTSD. Big thx to Pilleriin Sikka and Harrison Chow, M.D., M.S.
