This is the first study to show that selection in utero against male twins declines following favorable ambient exposures, yielding more live male twins births in the population. Really really cool work and implications for male twinning as a gauge of collective optimism!!

Thankful for this important work w/ Jonathan Powell Maria Gallo, PhD Payal Chakraborty Colleen Reynolds Morgan Anderson. We find national increase in 9-1-1 activations for obstetric conditions among 15-49-yo women post Dobbs, pronounced in protective states --> spillover effects on health care systems.
