Every vote counts! Some races are going to be decided by provisional ballots. With margins in some races in the double-digits, never doubt the importance of voting. #nced #ncpublicschools #ncpol ow.ly/Gj1x50U7ibj

In what's becoming common in NC, counties have to pay the tab that state legislators have left. When the state fails to pay staff a decent salary, locals must to step in. In NC, the state is legally responsible for salaries! #nced #ncpublicschools #npol ow.ly/VrKf50U7Q3M

Steve Bannon wants a Sputnik level of investment in US K-12 and higher education in order to train domestic tech talent. IOW completely at odds with actual GOP K-12 education policy which is to decrease investment and shift kids into religious and homeschools

Keep hearing the assertion that we have a deficit of STEM grads but this isn't remotely true. The relentless campaign to make K-12 and higher ed about STEM and nothing else - fueled by made-up stats - means we have too many STEM grads as Nora De La Cour explains here

Voucher results in one post: After mixed outcomes pre-2005, vouchers grew in several states. Most users were already in private school, but those who did switch suffered horrific outcomes. Subprime schools flooded the market, better schools rejected or pushed out new students.

NC Supt. Mo Green says state needs to raise base compensation substantially for all educators before looking at raising salary supplements. He says can use the extra money that’s going to Opportunity Scholarships to raise teacher compensation. #nced #ncpol #EggsandIssues25
