After reviewing the 10 texts of the Asylum and Migration Pact, the EU Ambassadors decided to send the final compromise to the European Parliament in order to move towards the final approval ✅

De tocht was moeilijk, de gids ervaren.

Op 6 juni 1944 gaven velen hun leven. Om een continent te bevrijden waarop ze nog nooit voet hadden gezet. Aan hen dankt Europa 80 jaar ongeziene welvaart. Laten we hen dankbaar blijven voor hun offer. En laten we er zelf voor zorgen dat het niet tevergeefs was.

De Belgische diplomatie is van topkwaliteit. Dat hebben de honderden collega’s 🇧🇪 Belgium MFA en @EU2024BE de voorbije zes maanden opnieuw bewezen.

Ben absoluut geen voorstander om afgewezen Afghanen toch verblijf te geven. Asielprocedure is om mensen te beschermen die op vlucht zijn voor oorlog of vervolging. Steeds individueel beoordeeld. We beschermen bv. vrouwenrechtenactivisten maar niet elke Afghaan loopt gevaar. (1/3)
