When traditional finance types mock “crypto” - they’re highlighting deficiencies within the fiat systems they espouse. Centralized, backed by nothing, subject to the whims of short term political incentives, zero-sum insider Cantillon winners. Bitcoin is different.

Sound advice but if only it were that simple. Savers are forced to become investors to combat the decline of the dollar’s purchasing power (which has only gotten worse in recent years). A debasing currency most negatively impacts savers. Bitcoin makes saving cool again.

This is the promise of Bitcoin. Not that you have to achieve an arbitrary number before you run out of time. But that as soon as you own any amount of Bitcoin, that value is secure, allowing you to turn your attention to deeper matters.

Inherent value (or utility) is a negative feature for an everyday money! Monetizing assets beyond their utility value is what happens when we have a bad money. See US housing market for exhibit 1. Bitcoin’s value is based on its monetary properties 🤝

Counterpoint: what if traditional measures of intelligence are less applicable for a cohort whose success will depend on things like digital fluency, agency, nervous system regulation, adaptability, information filtering, etc…

Theory: US banking system integration of (open) stablecoin infrastructure is more bullish for Bitcoin adoption than Bitcoin ETF integration into the US brokerage system. Probability of banks incorporating open stablecoin tech vs closed bankchains: low.
