Great commentary by Troy Littleton and Karen Cunningham in Journal of Cell Biology about our recent work on homeostatic scaling of active zone size! Excellent summary figure, wish we had come up with that ourselves! jcb.rupress.org/content/early/…

introducing the elkins lecture, Troy Littleton gives a history of tom elkins and introduces this year's award winner, stephen zhang from the crickmore lab at harvard and children's hospital boston. and our honorable mention Pragya Goel! #cshldros

An observation: #COVID19 pandemic brings out the best and the worst in people. Now is the time to think beyond yourself. Think about the potential consequences of your actions on others in your community. Please be kind 🙏🏽

Interested in how synapses adapt to a novel life state to which they never evolved? See what happens when fly larvae are developmentally arrested and persist for over 35 days (rather than the conventional 5)! dev.biologists.org/content/early/…

Feeling grateful and excited for having received the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation postdoc fellowship!😇 A huge thanks to all my mentors, especially Dion Dion Dickman, Pascal, Kate @KateOCG, and friends for the support and invaluable interactions along the way!🙂damonrunyon.org/news/entries/5…

Great to have this pape out PNASNews (2 years after Beril graduated)! We identified an auxiliary glutamate receptor subunit first found in worms, Sol-1, to be needed for presynaptic adaptive plasticity. Big thanks to everyone for their efforts, especially Pragya Goel !

Interested how synapses remain stable over a lifetime? Pragya Goel and I review work in the field of homeostatic synaptic plasticity at the fly NMJ over the past 10 years, check it out! rdcu.be/cdEfX

One of my favorite pieces of work from grad school! Thanks to Dion Dickman, Yifu Han and all authors for taking it to the end nearly 3 years after I graduated:)
