The early spring light on Dumaresq Dam before (6:06 am) and after (7:53 am) this mornings swim. A light breeze picked up during swim. Temp was 9°C up the back and 11°C near the wall.

Another nice morning for a swim. 11°C. A highlight was the choc caramel slice someone (not sure who) left on my swimming bag.

A pause in Fathers Day proceedings for a nice swim in the rain. 12°C

A frosty start to the swim. Day 2746 (7 yr, 6 mo, 4 d). 9.7 °C

Obscenely serene scene. 10.2°C

A trip to the beach yesterday- snorkelling off Muttonbird Island, then a swim as Jetty Beach. Nice to get down to Coffs Harbour and into salt water!

Two swims, both alike in dignity. Morning in the dam (13°C), lunch time in the pool (27°C).

Really nice afternoon swim at Blue Hole. Lots of picnickers and walkers, but nobody swimming. Lovely and cool swimming in the sun.

A very nice swim in Dumaresq Dam this morning- stopped mid-swim to float and eat a banana. This was before the morning gales picked up, and that hail and snow started. 13°C.

Glorious morning for a swim. Water about 13°C, but the sun warmed things up a bit.

One of those ‘yoke your dad to the kayak and drive him for all he’s worth’ moments. A bit of fun swimming into the wind at Copeton Dam. Water temp 17.8°C.

Surreal swim in Beardy Waters near Glen Innes- a swamp wallaby jumped into the water abt 1 m in front of me. I looked up just in time to see it hit the water. We swam to the other side together n it got out. One of those moments where I really wish I’d had my GoPro. Heaps of fun!

Took a family trip to the Never Never River. Plenty of fish. Swimming. Rock skipping. SUP. Water 18°C

Started before dawn under a full moon for a 4 km swim in Chaffey Dam near Nundle. Calm, clear water, nice light. Swam around a little island.
