Storms producing very heavy rainfall are expected this weekend across portions of the Upper Midwest, especially during the overnight hours Saturday into early Sunday morning. Plan ahead by having multiple ways to receive warnings, supplies ready, and evacuation routes reviewed.

Rounds of storms are expected to continue on Sunday. Multiple instances of flash flooding are likely, especially if torrential downpours occur in urban or poor-drainage areas susceptible to runoff. Isolated severe weather is also possible, but is a lower threat versus flooding.
