Rounds of storms are expected to continue on Sunday. Multiple instances of flash flooding are likely, especially if torrential downpours occur in urban or poor-drainage areas susceptible to runoff. Isolated severe weather is also possible, but is a lower threat versus flooding.

USGS scientists are providing critical data as glacier flooding affects Juneau, Alaska. A glacier acting as a natural dam trapped water that's now releasing, creating flood conditions. Our real-time monitoring supports multi-agency emergency response. ow.ly/MQwL50WFB3n

Locally heavy rainfall from another round of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and eve. Burn scars will be most at risk of any flooding, although street/lowland flooding can be expected with any stronger storms moving through the I-25 Corridor and plains. #COwx

2 pm Wed, Aug 27: Aside from Tropical Storm #Fernand, the tropics in the Atlantic appear relatively quiet for the next week. Keep in mind that we're quickly approaching the peak of the hurricane season, and activity can certainly ramp up as we head into September. Monitor
