Très heureux de commencer mon Tour d’Europe en France 🇫🇷 par une rencontre avec la maire de Paris, Anne Hidalgo. Nous avons discuté du rôle des villes et des régions dans le prochain budget à long terme de l’UE.

Heureux d’avoir rencontré des représentants de Assemblée nationale et Sénat, dont les présidents des commissions des Affaires européennes et des Finances. Un échange riche sur les priorités de la France 🇫🇷 concernant le prochain cadre financier pluriannuel européen.

Mon dernier rendez-vous de la journée à Paris a été avec Amélie de Montchalin, Ministre chargée des Comptes publics. Nous avons échangé sur le budget annuel 2026 de l’UE et le futur cadre financier. Il y aura sûrement des occasions d’en reparler — la France 🇫🇷 jouera un rôle clé.

Aujourd’hui dans le Doubs et le Jura avec le commissaire 🇪🇺 au budget Piotr Serafin à la rencontre de nos agriculteurs et nos entreprises innovantes. Sur le terrain pour défendre nos priorités pour le prochain budget européen.

Over 12h of meetings at European Parliament today, hearing many voices across political spectrum. The next #EUBudget won’t fix everything, but can show that by working together, we can achieve more - and in many cases more efficiently and cheaper than Member States acting alone.
