Honored to serve as a NMDC (National Microbiome Data Collaborative) Ambassador for 2023-2024! I'm excited to be part of a cohort that seeks to make microbiome data accessible, open, and reusable!🦠
I am thrilled and honored to share that my U.S. National Science Foundation #PRFB was recommended for funding! I'll be exploring genomic/metagenomic mechanisms of flood tolerance in maize and Tripsacum. This funding allows me to continue working with the amazing Maggie R Wagner - KU Ecology & Evolutionary Biology Kansas Bio Survey & Center for Ecological Research

I had an incredible time at the KU Center for Genomics symposium last Friday! Grateful for the opportunity to share my work, learn about the awesome research going on at KU and the surrounding community, and make new connections. Thank you to the organizers for the invitation 😀
Thanks for the shoutout Zoë! Couldn't have done it without the rock star Vitis Underground team and the many trips to best taqueria in the Central Valley🌮.
