Happy New Year!

Happy New Year's Day! We cannot wait to welcome all learners back to school on Tuesday, January 3, 2023! We are excited to see all faculty and staff tomorrow! 2023 is going to be a great year! #PikeRoadWay

The forecast for tomorrow calls for a possibility of severe storms that may interrupt our school day. We will monitor the weather throughout the day and overnight. If we change our schedule, we will alert you on social media. We will send an update later this evening.

Due to an "Enhanced Risk" of severe weather, all schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, 1-3-23. All after-school activities are canceled. We will open at our normal time on Wednesday, 1-4-23. Please remain weather-aware and stay safe tomorrow and tomorrow night!

We are partnering with Alabama State Department of Education, ARI / The Alabama Reading Initiative, ALSDE, and @Region7CC to support literacy and math instruction. School and district leaders are learning about Implementation Science to develop educators’ toolkits to incorporate research-based practices into their teaching.

January is School Board Appreciation Month. We want to express our gratitude for our board members. We would not be where we are today without their vision and leadership!

Our school and district leaders are monitoring the weather. We will alert you if we make any changes to our schedule, dismissal time, or after-school activities. At this time, we are planning a regular school day. Stay tuned for more updates!

We do not plan to dismiss early today; however, all after-school activities are canceled. If our area is impacted by a severe weather warning at the time of dismissal, we will hold students in place until the warning is clear.

We trust our parents to make the best attendance decision for their family. If you plan to check your child out early, please do so by 2:00 today, so our staff can monitor the weather and prepare if needed.

We hope everyone has a great weekend! All schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 16, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
