A possible telling detail is the statement from Leg Auditor Roger Norman in Dem-Gazette today that it would be “tricky” to examine the purchase from the vendor side because the vender is out of state. This may be a cop out. The audit needs oversight outside of Legislative Audit.

Since ADE/Republican controlled Legislature sent to AETN PBS a major portion of professional development funds intended for the public schools of the state, AETN has had incredible difficulty in proper utilization and accounting of the money.

My understanding is that the Feds provide the Medicare Advantage programs all of the Medicare premium a person pays in addition to additional funds. The theory, I suppose, is that the Medicare Advantage programs will spend less(and do) on the healthcare of their subscribers

The biggest difference between the two parties is that those of us who are Democrats care about others and want to use government to make things better for all of us. The legislative agenda Arkansas House Dems have put forward reflects that.
