Je suis au regret de vous annoncer le décès soudain du sociologue Philippe Chanial, codirecteur du LCSP (Université Paris-Cité) et, bien sûr, directeur de la Revue du MAUSS. Je n'ai pas les mots. Il m'a beaucoup accompagné, encouragé. Mes condoléances à la famille et aux proches.

I've argued for years that, in the Trump era, charismatic (i.e. ecstatic, supernaturalist, revivalist) evangelicals have displaced the old guard of the relig right & brought a new more aggressive evangelical politics. That was on vivid display in TX today. h/t Robert Downen 1/
