I rewatched 3 blue 1 brown’s video on Quaternions today and I still don’t understand them, they defy even the most intuitive visual explanation. I will eventually break them down using first principles and explain it in a video. The best way to learn is to teach.

I agree with Jim Rickards that there is no meaningful gold to silver ratio, their prices are loosely correlated at best. They serve different purposes.

If you don’t save at least 60% of your take home pay before you have a family and at least 25% whilst you do, you aren’t being frugal enough. On top of that you should be making wise investments throughout. The future isn’t promised.

A little girl asks her father: "Daddy, what is corruption?" Go bring me a beer, and I'll tell you. But Mummy said you should stop drinking! Get yourself an ice cream too while you bring me that beer. Oh, okay!

You know a field, Robot Simulation, is young when there are no books on it, companies are hiring for it, hiring is generalist not specialist, and they don’t expect any direct experience, only adjacent experience.

Robotics is much deeper and wider than game development. Robots Simulation by itself is far deeper than games programming. The physics can’t lie, the graphics have to be photorealistic, the AI will be used in the real world. Hysteresis, camera noise, there are no workarounds.

Generally speaking, Gen-X programmers were the last to deal with extreme resource constraints, that’s what makes them better than Gen-Y and Gen-Z.

I was content to leave employment permanently and just do YouTube full time but Robotics is so appealing to me that I’m willing to be an employee for it. It doesn’t lend itself to independent initiative the way game development does, the cost of entry is prohibitive.
