An exhibition is launching today at the Valentina De Nicola&DownlandMuseum (Wantage) to mark 100 years since the closure of passenger services on the Wantage Tramway, the world’s first steam-powered tramway. This exhibition is free and will run until the end of January next year.

This weekend will be our last opening weekend at Pendon before Christmas and what better way to celebrate the festive season than with a special running exhibition! We'll have two visiting layouts and we also hope to run a couple of exhibition themed trains on the Dartmoor scene.

We are now closed for winter, however we will have a special New Years opening on 29th, 30th & 31st December from 11am with last entry at 3.15pm. We will re-open for the 2026 season on 31st January and look forward to welcoming you then. Photo Chris Nevard
