The government found the money to give $50 billion to airlines, which then laid off 90,000 people. Now all they can do is give us $600 of our own money back at a time of record growth in poverty. The cost is 16% of the $900 billion stimulus package. $600 is 1 to 2 weeks rent.

STOP WITH THE BULLSHIT FINGER POINTING! Both parties were complicit in not passing relief for the people! Time to get your head out of your asses & pass stimulus & relief! While you still get paychecks that we provide with our taxes, we are are suffering!

Let’s be clear: Neither Pres Trump nor Sen. GOP leaders actually want Americans to get $2,000 COVID-19 relief payments. If they did, those checks would already be in the mail. The House acted. The Senate has the votes. The only thing stopping this is a bunch of Sen. Republicans.

Bernie Sanders (@berniesanders) 's Twitter Profile Photo

All of a sudden Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are worried that someone in America might get a $2,000 check "who doesn't need it." Funny. They had no problem giving a $1.4 billion tax break to Charles Koch and his family with a net worth of $113 billion. What hypocrisy!

Dear @senatemajldr Mitch McConnell 10 out of the poorest 25 counties in the United States are located in Kentucky. What the hell have you been doing for 36 years in the Senate? How does a state so small have so much poverty after 36 years of you in the Senate? JESUS MAN!
